The BritCham/CBBC Infrastructure & Property Forum cordially invites you to join us for a lecture and discussion on the Taoist science of architecture with Master Zhao Yuanfu (赵元富).
Master Zhao is the Abbot at the White Cloud Temple (白云观) in Beijing. He is a master of Taoist geomancy and belongs to the 19th Generation of the Taoist Dragon Gate branch (门龙道).
Feng Shui originated from the Daoist science of architecture which pursues knowledge on where to place a building in order to let the energy to that site benefit the purpose of the building. It is also about understanding how the shape of structures, as well as the layout and content of rooms, affect the energies of where we live or work, in positive or negative ways.
Master Zhao’s lecture will be based on designs submitted by CBBC member companies. He will analyse building structures of various projects and give advice on how modern architecture can exist in harmony with Feng Shui traditions.
