About Olympic Forest Park
Olympic Forest Park is a large, man-made nature park built for the 2008 Olympics. It covers 6.8 square kilometres and is split into two sections. The southern section has a wooded hill that gives an excellent view over the north of the city. The south-west of the park is a large wetland area with small lakes and reedbeds- the best area for birds. Trees to be found in the park include mature pines, juniper and birch. During migration season, the wooded parts of the park host a variety of migrants (thrushes, flycatchers, buntings etc). Rarities recorded in the park include (Siberian) ChiffChaff, Long-Tailed Tit, Streaked Reed Warbler, Red- breasted Flycatcher and Chaffinch.

Arrangement
Group will meet at Olympic Forest Park south exit at 07:30 am.
Group is limited to 40 persons. Open to all.
There is no entrance fee to the Olympic Forest Park, however, guests are encouraged to give a donation of RMB 50/person to the Migrant Bird project run by Jane Goodall
The walk will last for 2-3 hours.
