There seems to still be a large number of investors, bankers and even senior management who are confused regarding the RMB and the internationalisation of the currency. Some of these questions are as simple as 'what is the difference between the CNY and CNH?' or if I borrow money in RMB in the U.K. can I buy assets in CHINA?'

As such, the British Chamber of Commerce Finance Forum thought it appropriate to bring together members in a discussion forum including ICBC - China's leading bank, and HSBC a leading international bank which has a large presence in China to discuss the topic and to answer questions that the members may have. The format for the evening will be a short presentation from both ICBC and HSBC, followed by a panel discussion which will be open to questions from the floor. We hope this discussion forum will answer any of the questions you may have regarding this topic which is so vital to investors, borrowers and executive management, yet still seems to be surrounded by confusion and conflicting opinions.
