300 million Chinese people moved into urban dwellings over the past 10 years and another 200 million are expected to become city dwellers during the next decade. The planning, infrastructure and building required to complete these cities is proceeding on a massive scale. However, putting in place the infrastructure to effectively house, employ, transport, educate, entertain and care for China’s soon to be 1 billion urbanites will be a huge challenge.

The Chinese leadership is actively pushing to assure that this urbanisation drive deliver continued economic growth through productive industry, higher incomes, reduced pollution and waste, as well as greater choice and more services for healthier lifestyles.

Join CBBC and BritCham for a lively and interactive roundtable that will introduce and discuss this urbanisation drive and how British companies can make the most of business opportunities presented to them in the market.

The event which will also serve as the re-launch CBBC/Britcham China’s  Property & Infrastructure Forum plus act as the second activity in CBBC’s year-long Liveable Cities Programme
