With the Chinese economy forecast to slow down over the next five years and the residential market going through a period of steady decline, we are seeing more Chinese capital flowing to real-estate markets in mature economies.

CBBC member Knight Frank recently published a report titled 'Chinese Outward Investment: After the Initial Waves, What’s Next?' which looks at the push and pull factors that drive Chinese outbound investment in real estate, who the main drivers are, where they are investing and how the future looks for outward real-estate investment.

In this first meeting of BritCham/CBBC's Infrastructure & Property Forum in 2015, David Ji and Dominic Ong of Knight Frank will share the findings of the report from their perspective as experts on the Greater China and Asian markets, while Li Li, tax partner at KPMG China, will describe outbound tax practice. The session will close with a panel discussion on the outlook for the real-estate market.

Additionally we will give our members an update on the forum's plans for 2015, and a representative from UKTI will deliver a briefing on the schedule ahead. Non-members or those interested in joining the forum are equally welcome to attend.
