Theme: Restructuring for Sustainable Growth
China through the guidelines set in the 12th Five-Year Plan aims to transform and upgrade its industries through innovation and putting more emphasis on an economic model focused on sustainable and green growth. Likewise, the EU’s new 10-year growth strategy for sustainable and smart growth, “EU 2020 Strategy”, puts innovation and green growth at the heart of its blueprint for competitiveness. In this regard, cooperation between companies from the European Union and China is of vital importance. The speakers will offer their views on how China and EU can restructure their economies for greener and more innovative models and how combined and coordinated efforts will have a positive impact on growth and employment.

Organisers
The summit is being organised by the EU Chamber of Commerce in China and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), under the patronage of the European Commission and MOFCOM and with the collaboration of the EU-China Business Association and BUSINESSEUROPE.
