PwC recently released its seventh annual report focusing on China’s foreign banking market. The ‘Foreign Banks in China Report’ takes a look at the strategic and emerging issues surrounding the activities of expanding foreign banks in China.

In order to give BritCham and CBBC members a deeper insight and overview of  the  future trends of this market, Banking and Capital Markets Leader Partner for PwC China, Jimmy Leung, will come to the British Centre to answer questions and delve deeper into the report’s findings .

With 2011 a year of significant growth for China's foreign banks, which more than doubled their profits to RMB 16.73 billion, Jimmy will shed light on the market’s outlook, the impact of RMB internationalisation & interest rate liberalisation, and the future for Shanghai as an international financial centre.

Jimmy has nearly 30 years of professional service experience, and has spent the past 16 years working in China where he currently leads the PwC’s banking and capital markets practice which includes more than 800 professionals.
