British Ambassador Mr. Sebastian Wood CMG will host a reception to welcome the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) UK Mission at the Embassy Residence later this month. An opening speech will be given by the Ambassador followed by an introduction from IPA President Nicola Mendelsohn. Attendees will have the chance to meet delegates from a wide range of creative and communication agencies featuring prominent members of the UK’s advertising sector.

Who should attend?

The event will be a great opportunity for those involved in marketing and communications to get together and discuss partnerships and networks with UK and Chinese advertising agencies. This will also appeal to anyone interested in working with UK companies for their publicity.

The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) is the professional institute and trade association for over 250 advertising and communications agencies in the UK employing over 19,000 individuals. IPA member agencies account for 85% of UK display advertising expenditure in television, radio, print and outdoor, 75% of UK advertising and search expenditure online.

The IPA’s latest trade mission to China follows two successful trips in 2009 and 2010.  They continue to promote the UK as a creative innovation hub to the world, helping IPA members build business and establish partnerships with Chinese brands and agencies.  Nicola Mendelsohn, IPA President and Executive Chairman and Partner at Karmarama, will lead the government-supported mission to Beijing and the China International Advertising Festival (CIAF) in Shenyang.
