Member News: Benoy Triumphs at ICSC Asia Pacific Shopping Centre Awards

Brit-Cham- CBBC member Benoy received an impressive four prizes at this year’s ICSC Asia Pacific Shopping Centre Awards, receiving acclaim in the ‘Innovative Design and Development of a New Retail Project’ category.

Three of the company’s awards went to their iconic structures in China. Shanghai ifc mall took the Gold Award, Palace 66 in Shenyang, north-east China received the Silver Award and its design for Yueda 889 in Shanghai also received a silver award. Outside of China, the innovative eight story retail centre, Central Festival in Thailand was given a silver award.

Simon Blore, Managing Director, Benoy Asia accepted the awards on behalf of the Benoy Team.

Benoy’s recognition for its contribution to China’s developing retail sector also comes alongside the announcement of three major new contracts with a combined value of over £4 Million.

With client Maxon Group, Benoy has been commissioned to design the iconic Tongzhou Centre, a mixed-use development in the heart of Beijing’s Central Business District. They have also been contracted to design the first Raffles City in Southern China, which will be located in Shenzhen’s commercial Nanshan district. For client APP, White Magnolia, , Benoy will introduce a spectacular centrepiece to Shanghai’s eagerly anticipated New Bund area.
