Kirk Wilson | Executive Director, China

Kirk Wilson is Executive Director for the China region at CBBC, jointly leading an experienced team of industry experts, consultants, project managers and economists across 13 cities. He is also sector lead for ICT in China with recent focus on IoT, integrated circuit design, ecommerce and cybersecurity. Kirk has spent around 16 years in various consultancy and leadership roles within the IT Services industry including as an account director with EDS, and most recently as a consultant with the United Nations in Beijing, working closely with regional governments in China to develop business with global IT services companies. He is a Chinese speaker, and has a BSc in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science from Edinburgh University, an MA in Chinese Studies from Lund University in Sweden, and an MBA from Cambridge University Business School.

Peter Williams | Director, The British Centre

Peter Williams grew up in London and studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at Oxford. He made his first visits to China while still a student, leading groups of Oxbridge students who organised summer camps in Guangdong province in 2001 & 2002. He qualified as a teacher at the University of London and taught History in comprehensive schools in Oxford and London before working in the Student Recruitment and International Offices of the University of Oxford and London School of Economics where he was responsible for markets including China, South-East Asia, Middle East and Latin America. Peter moved to China in 2010 to study at Beijing Language and Culture University on a Chinese Government Scholarship, and from 2011-2014 was senior sales manager for a large education group, representing more than 20 UK & EU universities in China. He joined the China-Britain Business Council and British Chamber of Commerce in 2014.

Selina Li | Director of Events for the China region

Selina Li is Director of Events for the China region CBBC. Selina has extensive experience in marketing and events management at a senior level and on an international basis, spent more than 15 years in various industries including pneumatic and robot, property investment, financing and accounting, business aviation, information technology, etc. and most recently as a Co-founder established her own company in Beijing. Selina contributes most of her career time in marketing and management field including but not limited to MKT Events, Branding, PR, Online and Offline Campaigns, Cross-border Cooperation, Advertising, Media, Marketing research and analysis, etc. especially in organizing and managing marketing events, such as British ball, St. George’s charity dinner, Rotary Ball, Asian Business Aviation Exhibition, Press Conference, High-end cocktail reception, Wine test, Business Forum and Conference, and all other kinds of events. Selina is native Mandarin speaker and has a MBA degree from Aberdeen University in the UK.

Serena Li | Events Manager

Serena has a BA in Tourism Management from the Beijing University of Agriculture and experience in the fields of tourism and IT. As Events Manager, she looks after both UKTI and BritCham events.

 

Sophie Xie | Events Manager

Sophie has a degree in Hotel and Catering Management from KDU College, Kuala Lumpur. Her experience includes five years in hotel operations and five years as an event organiser for delegations. Prior to joining CBBC, she worked at the Kerry Centre and Grand Hyatt hotels in Beijing.
 
Wang Jia | Senior Events Manager
 
Jia has MA degrees in Communication (University of Westminster) and International Journalism (Communication University of China) as well as a BSc in Applied Physics (Tongji University). Before joining CBBC, she was Global Events Executive for the China Interior Decoration Association. She has also worked for the London Olympic Organising Committee and Westkin Immigration Associates.
 

Mark Xu | Assistant Director, CBBC Advanced Manufacturing and Transportation(AMT)  

Mark Xu is Assistant Director for Advanced Manufacturing and Transportation (AMT) at China Britain Business Council (CBBC).  He has spent over twelve years in an UK engineering company which over ten years as the company’s Chief Representative and General Manager for their China subsidiary office. Mark is bilingual in Chinese and English, has a BEng in Manufacturing Engineering and BCom in Commerce from the University of Birmingham, an MBA from Business School Netherlands and is a CFA II Candidate.

Anne Zheng | Director, CBBC Launchpad Service

Anne has a BA in English Language and Literature, and an MA in Communications from the University of Leeds. With experience in administration, government relations, business consultancy and event management, she worked at CBBC from 1996 to 2002 and rejoined in 2006 as central contact point for the UKTI Overseas Market Introduction Service (OMIS). She was promoted to Assistant Director, Membership in 2010.

Summer Wang | Membership Manager

Summer has a BA in English from Beijing International Studies University and previously worked for Messe Stuttgart, a German exhibition company. As Membership Executive, she is responsible for membership applications, membership contacts and services and directory entries.

Ariana Zhang | HR Director

Ariana is responsible for internal HR management, Launchpad services and staff cost control. She provides advisory services to CBBC member companies on general HR issues, as well as an employee selection service. She has a BA in Technical Foreign Trade from the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Holly Chen | Consultant

Holly specialises in agri-food and agriculture. She also has a deep understanding of Chinese governmental procedures. As Agriculture Consultant at CBBC, she is responsible for OMIS, events and missions within this sector. She holds a BA in British and American Literature from Jilin Normal University.

Jane Zhang | Consultant

A former researcher at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and senior officer at UKTI Beijing, Jane joined CBBC’s research and consulting team in 2007 and is currently Consultant for the North China team with a focus on healthcare and life sciences. She has experience in agriculture, food and drink and government/macro-policy lobbying and negotiation work. She has an MA in Management and a BSc in Library Science.

Charlie Zeng | Project Manager

Charlie’s career has spanned the engineering and industrial sectors, sales and management. As Project Manager he is responsible for events, OMIS research and delivery in a wide range of sectors, with a focus on education and training. He has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Huaqiao University and an MBA from Staffordshire University.

Helen Hu | Finance Manager

Helen has experience in metals, purchasing, marketing, accounting and tax. She is responsible for accounting, tax, financial control and administration for CBBC’s operations in China. She has a BE in Management Engineering, as well as an MA in Accounting from Renmin University.

Christine Chen | Accountant

Christine has experience as an accountant in both Canada and China. She is responsible for accounting, tax and administration for the British Chamber of Commerce in China and its affiliate offices in Sichuan, Chongqing and Guangzhou. She has a BA with Honours (Accounting) from York University.

Tiger Wang | IT Manager

Tiger joined CBBC as IT Manager in 2014.
