Globalisation, the global recession and rapid advances in technology have created a "perfect storm" with the procurement profession at its heart. No function has changed so markedly as procurement, which more than any other area has been at the forefront of significant change, having to adapt and reinvent itself. Being able to supply goods and services efficiently will be the competitive advantage of the future, and procurement is key to this.
David Noble, chief executive of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS), will give a presentation about this field drawing on his many years of experience in manufacturing and other areas. His presentation will be followed by a half-hour Q&A session and time for networking.
