Fraud and cyber incidents are now the “new normal” for companies across the world, according to the 2016/17 Kroll Annual Global Fraud and Risk Report, which surveyed 545 senior executives worldwide across multiple industries and geographies. The proportion of companies that fell victim to fraud in the past year rose significantly to 82%, from 75% in 2015 and 70% in 2013, highlighting the escalating threat to corporate reputation and regulatory compliance.
CBBC welcomes you to attend a seminar in Shanghai on 16th Mar 2017 (Thursday). With reference to and case studies in China, Kenny Shek, Associate Managing Director, Kroll Asia, who is the Financial Investigation Team lead in China, will share his experiences on how to manage fraud risks on the Mainland through some practical guidance and case sharing.

Speaker Introduction
Kenny Shek is an Associate Managing Director in Kroll's Investigations and Disputes practice, managing client engagements from the firm's Hong Kong and Shanghai offices. As a chartered accountant by profession, Kenny has over 16 years of experience in internal and external auditing, forensic investigations, financial due diligence, corporate restructuring, and design and implementation of controls surrounding financial reporting and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) for a wide range of clients in various industries, such as retail, technology and telecom, energy, biotech, and professional services.
Prior to joining Kroll in 2015, Kenny worked within the assurance team for one of the Big Four accounting firms in the UK and US between 1999 and 2008, where he gained extensive experience in both IFRS and USGAAP. Between 2009 and 2011, Kenny was the Global Head of Internal Audit for a US-listed company, where he led investigations related to various allegations of irregularities. Since 2011 and until he joined Kroll, Kenny was a director stationed in Shanghai within the forensic services team of one of the Big Four.
