On 1 September 2013, the new Foreigner Exit-Entry Administration Regulations of the PRC came into effect, having been published initially in early May. Although naturally the revisions are designed to improve the procedure, they aren't necessarily any easier to grasp than before – there are actually more visa categories now.
So to help our members understand the changes, BritCham/CBBC, in conjunction with AmCham and AustCham, have arranged a joint talk to be delivered by Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau – the relevant government department – in which their experts will inform members about the new policy and how it applies to their company and employees.
The talk will be conducted in Chinese, but interpretation will be available.
Main points to be covered
  • Application criteria for visa/work permit
  • The different types of visa
  • Considerations to be made when applying
Attendees will also have the chance to put questions to the Bureau. Members are welcome to submit questions in advance and should send them in writing to serena.li@cbbc.org.cn before 14th October.
