Report: China Outbound Series - Shenzhen

CBBC’s China Outbound series, which explores outbound investment opportunities in or with the UK for Chinese companies, continued on 19 November with a well-attended and informative seminar in Shenzhen.
The event, held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre, was attended by Alastair Morgan, consul-general of the British Consulate-General in Guangzhou, and Gao Guohui, vice secretary-general of the Shenzhen Municipal Government, among a host of leading business figures from over 30 Chinese and British companies. 
Tracy Peng, of UK Trade & Investment, opened proceedings with an introduction of the UK’s business environment and visa procedures; Chris Hamer, European patent lawyer at Mathys & Squire, spoke on intellectual property rights in the EU; a speaker from KPMG explained overseas stock market flotations for Chinese companies; and Qu Wenchu, senior vice-president of Huawei, introduced brand promotion and marketing for Chinese companies going global.
