Caijing Magazine invites you to participate as a delegate at the Sanya Forum to be held in the coastal city of Sanya, Hainan Province, China from December 13 to 15, 2013. The forum will bring together the most influential leaders in politics, business and academia from around the world, representing the USA, China, Europe, the Americas and Asia to discuss topical issues in the global financial and economic arena and to propose solutions to address pressing challenges facing the world.
The Sanya Forum, organised by the Sanya Forum Organising Committee and the China Association for International Friendly Contact, presented by Caijing Magazine, enjoys the strong support of the government of Hainan province and the government of Sanya as strategic partners. The Boyuan Foundation is the forum's "knowledge partner". As an international high-profile platform for dialogue in the financial and economic field, the forum is committed to promoting international economic and technological exchanges and cooperation, exploring and identifying solutions to major global challenges, and playing a positive role in achieving a benign cycle in global economic development. Since its creation in 2012, the forum has been widely supported and well received by global political and economic opinion leaders.
This year's forum will focus on the theme of "Restructuring: Fostering New Driving Forces". As we know, the world is undergoing profound changes against the backdrop of waves of economic turmoil and risk. Most economies, with very few exceptions, are keen on finding ways to mitigate the impact of the economic crisis. It is therefore urgent to explore new models of development. The era we live in is fraught with challenges. Issues such as managing the costs and opportunities of globalisation in the post-crisis times, identifying new poles of global growth, and promoting reforms and sustainable economic growth in the emerging economy are of strategic significance. Equally important topics include transforming private enterprises, strengthening financial regulations, further developing capital markets, and bridging and integrating Eastern and Western cultures. It is time that we explore new driving forces for transformation and unleash its potential and dynamism.
Sanya Forum is committed to providing a high-end platform for Chinese leaders to meet global decision-makers and thought leaders, discuss heated issues and propose targeted solutions. Last year, distinguished speakers included former President Jimmy Carter, Peter Mandelson, Zhou Xiaochuan, and other guests.
Confirmed speakers for the 2013 Sanya Forum include former Prime Minister Tony Blair, former Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, Gao Xiqing (President of the Chinese Sovereign Wealth China Investment Corporation), Zhang Xin (CEO of SOHO China), Feng Lun (Chairman of Vantone Holding), Liu Chuanzhi (former Chairman of Lenovo), Ma Weihua (former Chairman of Merchant Bank), Michael Andrew (Global Chairman of KPMG International), Zhang Hongli (Vice Chairman of ICBC) and other prominent leaders. The forum will cover a wide range of topics from financial reforms to women's role, from the youth leadership to the current trend and challenges in the real estate market. About 1,000 senior executives and leaders from the industries will be invited to come attend the forum and exchange their ideas and learn from each others.
We have also arranged a series of exciting side events for the guests to relax after the intense collision of ideas and thoughts. These include: golf invitational, Audi test-driving, jogging, cycling, etc.
