The China-Britain Business Council, UK Trade & Investment and the British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong successfully hosted The 4th consecutive UK Architecture Forum – 'Green is Gold’ in Guangzhou on 18th July 2013. This year’s topic focussed on green design and planning, as well as how these green ideas could leverage financial growth.

We created a platform to encourage an exchange of ideas and concepts between UK’s most forward-thinking and innovative firms and Chinese government, developers, design institutes, and stakeholders in China’s green agenda. The theme of this year’s architecture forum was “Green is Gold” with an aim to cover green ideas and solutions that can deliver long term benefits to the environment as well as on a company’s bottom line. Speakers included representatives from Arup, Fosters + Partners, Wei Yang & Partners, Aedas, Vanke and Guangzhou Construction Committee.

The event was a huge success with more than 250 guests in attendance to make the most of the opportunity to build connections with UK and Chinese companies. Through organising events such as the 2013 UK Architecture Forum, we endeavour to continually offer value to our members, and increase cooperation between companies from the UK and China.
