The British Council is delighted to invite you to an education-themed afternoon briefing and networking session.
As we look forward to the UK-China High-Level People-to-People Dialogue and annual Education Summit in December we have some notable milestones to reflect on. In September the Minister for Universities, Science Research and Innovation, Jo Johnson, attended the Pujiang Innovation Forum and witnessed the signing of several new agreements between the UK and China to deepen collaboration across innovation and higher education. Two weeks ago the Russell Group sent its first ever overseas delegation to China to sign a joint statement with China’s C9 League to explore partnerships between both countries’ leading universities.
What do these and other activity suggest for the UK’s future engagement with China? How can we support the UK education sector to deepen its collaboration with China? What are the ambitions we want to reflect at the UK-China Education Summit?
Join Carma Elliot, Director China at the British Council and Minister (Culture and Education) at the British Embassy, and Jim Addison, Director Education at the British Council in China and Counsellor (Education) at the British Embassy, for a session that will reflect on the above questions and look at the direction of UK-China education collaboration.
