Based on a belief that interviews are more effective than standardized tests in the holistic admissions process, for both schools and students alike, Vericant is working towards making interviews as commonplace as transcripts in applications to competitive institutions worldwide. We’re looking for a creative problem solver to help us towards this ambitious goal.

This individual is passionate about international education, understands the dynamics of working in a cross-cultural start-up environment, and takes pride in the ownership of their tasks while functioning well in a team setting.

 

As Vericant’s China Marketing Manager you will play a key role in shaping Vericant’s brand and fueling growth. You are responsible for continuing to build on our strong image within China, and growing and creating new opportunities for the company around the world. This role reports to the Director of Marketing.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully promote Vericant Interviews to China and other international markets:
    • Present to Chinese and International students and families about our interview product
    • Conduct professional development workshops for teachers and counselors
    • Plan, produce, and manage marketing content, including, but not limited to: Website, Wechat, email newsletters, webinars, videos, promotional materials, and infographics
    • Attend college fairs and industry conferences
  • Maintain, strengthen, and develop relationships with parents, students, schools, KOLs, and other private companies in the high school and university application space
  • Maintain and grow a sales pipeline for pre-booked interview days around China
  • Support US sales efforts with China market intel, school visit logistics, and cross-border BD efforts
  • Explore and create new ways to improve the company’s overall marketing
  • Run effective meetings within the company to make sure all related tasks are completed

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of work experience
  • Native or at least working proficiency in English
  • Passionate about meeting and working with people of various backgrounds
  • Problem solver, strong work ethic, good organizational skills, and self-motivated
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable using modern office tools (e.g. Slack, Google Suite, Zoom, etc.)

 

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of work experience in marketing and/or sales
  • Native or working proficiency in Chinese
  • Work experience in the education industry
  • Experience in an international company and/or experience studying in North America
  • Experience in university admissions or education
  • Marketing experience in the US study abroad space in China
  • An eye for design and experience with design software such as Adobe product suite
  • Experience managing WeChat public accounts and growing followers
