Venture Education – Paid Internship
Venture Education is an international enterprise education consultancy organisation, based in Beijing. Working with local and national governments, schools, universities and international organisations, Venture develops projects, influences policy, builds networks and forms powerful partnerships that help individuals and institutions to further their educational expertise and develop an enterprising culture. Some of the projects that we are currently working on include:
- Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA): GSEA is a global competition for student entrepreneurs that runs in 56 chapters around the world. This year, Venture Education is organising the first GSEA in China. The finalists of each country will win a paid trip to Macau to compete in the Global Finals against some of the most innovative young entrepreneurs in the world for a grand prize of USD$20,000.
- The China Women’s Film Festival (CWFF): This year, Venture Education has partnered with the CWFF, a non-profit organisation based in Beijing that promotes women’s rights through film and art, as well as UN Women. Through this partnership, we are organising a screening of the film, Girl Rising, which will be followed by a forum to discuss the importance of promoting equal access to education for women and girls.
- Tulou Education Project: The Tulous are Chinese rural dwellings that have been around since the 1500s. A few of these donut-shaped structures have been awarded UNESCO World Heritage status, but many people who live there have very limited access to education. Venture Education is working with an NGO in the area that is working to rejuvenate Tulou culture and offer free online education to local children.
- British Chamber Events: The co-founder of Venture Education is the Chair of the Education Forum at the British Chamber of Commerce in China. Therefore, our company organises events throughout the year with the Chamber in order to promote UK-China Education and to build a community of educators.
- Report Writing: Venture Education works with private companies and organisations to research and produce reports on education. Research involves synthesis and analysis of existing information and gathering of primary data through interviews and consultations with education companies and organisations. Reports range from privately commissioned ones from businesses interested in entering new markets to broader reports looking at education trends and markets in China, the UK and internationally.
