CBBC welcome you to join our delegation for a regional visit to Changzhou from 27th to 28th September 2018 to receive updates on local economic development, attend the 2018 China Changzhou International Forum on Science and Technology & Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, and meet local government officials and businessmen.
This visit will provide opportunities for attendees to meet in small groups with officials in relevant sectors and local business communities’. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from Fortune Global 500 companies, well-known international enterprises, China’s large state-owned companies, investment and funding organisations, and leading experts, by attending the 2018 China Changzhou International Forum on Science and Technology & Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.

About Changzhou
Located in the center of the Yangtze River Delta economic zone, Changzhou is within a one-hour commute of Shanghai by high-speed train. Changzhou is ranked third at prefecture-level in “Forbes’ China’s Best Cities for Business, 2017”.
Changzhou-UK trade reached USD 610 million (approximately GBP 472 million) in 2017. Its main commodities are mechanical and electrical products, textile products, vehicles and parts, and metal products. There have been an increasing number of British enterprises investing in Changzhou in recent years. Meanwhile, four enterprises from Changzhou have invested an accumulative total of USD 5.56 million (approximately GBP 4.25 million) in the UK.
Changzhou is currently proactively looking at cutting edge new energy vehicle parts and technology, lean manufacturing solutions, automation solutions, automobile design, bio-pharmaceutical technology research & development, laboratory equipment and solutions, medical device technology, related verification and testing services, and product design services.
