Description
Studying abroad is a well-established option for China’s students, and the UK has long been a popular destination. However, with the rapid development of China’s economy and a rising demand for skilled individuals, an increasing number of Chinese students are choosing to return to China after completing their studies overseas. UK universities are well aware that one of the main goals of higher education is to increase the employability of students when they begin to search for work, therefore many of them are keen to understand China’s job market, the skills required by Chinese employers, and the opportunities and challenges returning Chinese students are facing. Doing this helps UK universities to improve not only the courses that they offer, but also the employment services they provide to Chinese students, as well as to other students that wish to work in China.
With this in mind, CBBC is delighted to invite companies to join our 2018 Chinese Students’ Career and Employability Seminar: Top Talent for the Future, to meet directly with delegates from UK universities. These seminars aim to help develop an understanding of the future talent development agenda, to build direct connections between UK universities and employers in China, and to explore the opportunities and challenges Chinese students are facing in their future careers.
