Following the Brexit referendum, London and the wider UK real estate market has seen a renewed level of interest from overseas investors reflecting the continued attractiveness of the UK and the relative value for money.
So far in 2017, overseas investors have accounted for 57% of direct real estate investment activity in the UK with Chinese investors taking a leading role, notably with CC Land’s purchase of the Cheesegrater in Leadenhall Street for £1.15bn. However, investing in the UK real estate market is not without its challenges, and understanding how to navigate these challenges is key to the success of any project.
