Location: Shanghai, Beijing
Main Responsibility:

  • Responsible for day-to-day management and overseeing the regional events team work in East China
  • Maintain relationships with key local events partners/stakeholders including the Department for International Trade (DIT), the British Consulate-General, member companies, and suppliers
  • Lead the planning, operation and execution of events within the region
  • Allocate event staff to projects in order to ensure projects are completed to a high quality
  • Maintain communication with the team in Beijing head office, and manage the overall budget and time reporting to Beijing for the region
  • Monitor all aspects of event in development including proposal, budget and schedule development and delivery
  • Develop new clients and deliver high value events
  • Work with the Marketing team to promote CBBC event services across UK & China networks
  • Coaching and supporting junior event staff to increase their skills and knowledge

Detail Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree or above
  • At least five years’ strong and recent experience in Events/Communication/PR Marketing fields
  • Strong event planning and management knowledge and experience in mainland China
  • Excellent motivation, communication and negotiation skills, as well as ability to lead the regional team to deliver excellent results
  • Experience in people management
  • Excellent language skills in English and Mandarin (written and oral)
  • Detail driven and quick in action
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, multi-task environment
