Head of Physics/Teacher of Physics

We seek an experienced and outstanding Physics teacher to join our excellent Science team. Head of Physics is available for the right candidate. We offer a General Science programme in Key Stage 3, a three-year IGCSE Physics programme from Years 9 to 11 and the IB Diploma. Experience of, and expertise in, teaching the IB Diploma in Physics will be an advantage. An ability to teach Physics programmes up to post-16 level is a pre-requisite, as is experience of teaching General Science in Key Stage 3. You will be a highly effective, dynamic and collaboratively-minded teacher, able to inspire our incredible students with a genuine commitment to their academic and personal development and make a considerable contribution to our thriving department. The Science department is also highly engaged in varied co-curricular opportunities for students and is keen to expand these further. Professional development opportunities are extensive at the College and through Dulwich College International.

Teacher of Senior School English

We seek an experienced and innovative teacher to join our team delivering an enhanced Key Stage 3 curriculum, IGCSEs in English Language and World Literature and English A at IB Diploma level. We are proud of our excellent academic achievement and the creative enrichment opportunities we offer. You will be a highly effective and dynamic teacher and team-player, able to inspire our incredible students with a genuine commitment to their academic and personal development. Professional development opportunities including collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare company and through Education in Motion, are extensive. Candidates also able to offer Film are particularly welcome to apply. A departmental or pastoral leadership responsibility may also be available for the right candidate.

Senior School Head of English as an Additional Language (EAL)

We seek an experienced, dynamic and collaborative professional to lead and manage our EAL provision in the Senior School (with teaching commitment). You will have a degree, teaching qualification and recognized EAL qualification (preferably at masters level) plus experience of working in a Secondary School. Working in collaboration with Early Years and the Junior School, you will contribute to the alignment of language acquisition pathways to enable the creation of effective and responsive support. During the admissions process the Head of EAL meets with all students and carries out the appropriate testing to inform decision making regarding placement liaising effectively with staff. The Head of EAL also ensures that students receive the support they need and monitor and track individual progress using baseline data, adjusting support as appropriate in collaboration with teachers, pastoral leaders and parents. The Head of EAL implements plans for individual students, supports departments in resource development and teaching strategies and provides professional development for teachers to build a differentiation tool-kit of strategies to specifically enhance language acquisition. Professional development opportunities are extensive at the college and through Education in Motion. A whole college EAL leadership role may be available for the right candidate.

Supply Teacher

We seek a Senior School cover supervisor to oversee the learning of students ( ages 11 to 18)  in the absence of their regular subject teacher  ( any subject discipline).  Expats living in Beijing as dependents and who would like to start their teaching career experience  at an international school are particularly encouraged to apply. Full induction and training will be provided.  A minimum monthly retainer is provided however a full time commitment ( 6 hours per day) is available.

Deputy Head of Early Years

The Early Years school (3-7 years) seeks an innovative, highly motivated, and experienced Deputy Head to work with the Head Teacher to lead and manage the Early Years School. The Deputy Head will oversee the academic aspects of the school and manage the school’s daily life ensuring students come first. The postholder will have a drive for high standards and robust systems. They will be passionate about school development and educational innovation, leading by example when implementing and managing change initiatives. They will be instrumental in building team spirit, a shared culture, and a positive climate. It is essential that they adopt a values-based approach to their behaviours, interactions, and decision-making.
