5 Star Plus Retail Design is looking for a:


Client Manager/Director in Beijing


To take care of our existing international and Chinese clients in Beijing, conduct project management and develop new clients and projects for 5 Star Plus.


Main responsibilities:


  • Represent 5 Star Plus in all matters in the Beijing Market
  • Meet existing and potential clients of 5 Star Plus to gather project information and requirements
  • Prepare reports and send all information about potential projects to the headquarters in Vienna
  • Establish trust and long-term relationships with existing clients, potential clients, chambers of commerce and embassies in Beijing
  • For existing design and marketing projects, conduct project management, including regular client meetings, site visits, coordination with construction teams and vendors, and management of those projects to be completed on time, budget, and quality.
  • Visit potential project locations and construction sites as required for projects
  • Conduct proactive and independent business development by attending chamber and embassy events, retail and luxury industry events, cultural events to increase our brand awareness and generate leads
  • Prepare quotations
  • Drive the development of the Beijing market
  • Client communication and client presentations
  • Support the marketing, design and retail operations departments
  • Act as liaison between the clients, the headquarters in Vienna, the Shanghai office, and third parties





  • Fluent in English and Chinese
  • Several years of work experience for an international service company; experience in the retail or luxury or interior design sector is preferred
  • University degree in business, marketing, project management or a similar discipline
  • Proficient skills in office software, especially Excel, Powerpoint and Word
  • Good understanding of the retail and luxury market as well as of marketing, design and construction projects is preferred
  • Excellent in analyzing data, reading and preparation of reports
  • Extroverted personality, enjoying communication with people on different levels
  • Enjoys attending different kinds of events
  • Very target-oriented, clear and concise communication, high achiever personality
  • Good time management skills
  • Strong perception of quality and details
  • Very trustworthy personality
  • Able to work independently, responsibly, and with tight timelines
  • Able to work based on flexible work time
