Your job as Research Analyst Intern is to collaborate with Venture’s research team across a number of diverse projects that that contribute and drive contemporary debates in the Chinese education sector. You will be involved with exciting projects and being able to take initiative; learning along the way about every aspect of education consultancy in China.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Supporting the delivery of the first-ever guide on student well-being in China and how internationally-oriented schools can best support their students.
- Creating thoughtful and empathetic content for Venture’s LinkedIn account and supporting the growth of followers and engagement.
- Ensuring stable and quality output for Venture’s social media presence.
- Copy-editing text in English that align with Venture’s writing style.
- Tracking news about education in China from both Chinese and international sources.
- Conducting desk research into various topics that contribute and drive contemporary debates in the Chinese education sector.
- Supporting the research team with other ongoing research projects.
Key requirements for the role:
- Native English or near-native English speaker with outstanding written skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when writing, proofreading and copy-editing.
- Ability to quickly research and learn about a new subject.
- Ability and willingness to take ownership of projects and deliver high-quality outcome.
- Ability to plan and organise tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
- Ability to read, digest and summarise large amounts of news and analytical articles.
Attributes that would give a candidate an edge:
- Ability to read in Chinese.
- Experience in China and/or UK education sector.
- Having related research or internship experience.
- Focus on problem-solving instead of excuse-finding.
- Passion for reading, writing, and researching.

Reporting to: Research Lead
Schedule: 9am-6pm; Monday to Friday
Period: Minimum 3 Months
Salary: 150RMB per working day
